Fundraising support, due diligence, and board advisory for technology companies and their investors.

Fundraising Support

The problem

Raising capital is a skill most founders have to learn on the job, usually while simultaneously running the company, closing customers, and managing a team. The process is unpredictable, time-consuming, and emotionally draining. And the stakes are high: a poorly constructed pitch, a misaligned financial model, or an introduction to the wrong investor at the wrong stage can cost months of momentum.

The challenge is compounded by the fact that what investors want to see changes at each stage. A pre-seed narrative about vision and team is very different from a Series B story about unit economics and market expansion. Founders who nailed their seed round sometimes struggle to adapt their pitch for the next one.

What we do

We help founders build the complete fundraising package: the narrative, the deck, the financial model, and the supporting materials. We do this drawing on direct experience supporting companies from pre-seed through Series E, across AI, data infrastructure, energy, life sciences, and digital media.

Our involvement typically covers:

  • Refining the investment narrative to match what investors at your target stage actually care about
  • Building or restructuring the pitch deck to be clear, compelling, and honest
  • Financial model review and construction, ensuring the numbers tell the story you intend
  • Preparation for investor meetings, including tough questions and how to handle them
  • Introductions to VCs and PE firms through our networks in London and Silicon Valley
  • Coaching on the fundraising process itself: timing, sequencing, term sheet negotiation

We've worked with companies that have raised from investors including Google Ventures, Balderton, Sequoia, Shadow Ventures, Pi Labs, Kleiner Perkins, and Prosperity Ventures. We understand what these firms look for because we've been in the room.

What you get

A fundraising process that is structured, efficient, and gives you the best possible chance of raising the right capital from the right investors at the right valuation. And a pitch that reflects what your company actually is, not a polished fiction that falls apart in due diligence.

Due Diligence and Board Advisory

The problem

For investors: you're evaluating a technology company, probably with an AI angle, and you need someone who can look under the hood and tell you whether the technology is real, the architecture is sound, and the team can deliver what they're promising. Your internal team may not have the specific domain expertise, and the founders' CTO is not going to give you an unbiased assessment.

For portfolio companies: you've raised the round, the investors are on the board, and now you need independent advisory support that understands both the technology and the business. Someone who can provide governance without slowing you down, and challenge constructively without being adversarial.

What we do

For investors, we provide technology due diligence covering:

  • Architecture and technical debt assessment
  • AI/ML capability evaluation: is the AI genuine, or is it a thin wrapper around an API?
  • Team assessment: can this technical team deliver the roadmap?
  • Scalability and security review
  • IP and differentiation analysis
  • Realistic assessment of technical risks and mitigations

We've delivered GenAI due diligence for investors under NDA, and provide regular insights to VCs and PE firms evaluating AI and technology investments.

For portfolio companies, we serve as board members and advisors, providing ongoing governance and strategic input across technology, product, and operations. We've held advisory board positions across AI, energy, fintech, mental health technology, and content moderation platforms, working with founders to navigate the challenges of post-investment scaling.

Our board involvement typically covers technology strategy and architecture decisions, product direction and roadmap prioritisation, operational scaling challenges, and coaching and mentoring for technical and commercial leadership.

What you get

For investors: an honest, technically informed assessment that helps you make better investment decisions. For portfolio companies: a board advisor who has been a CTO, CRO, and CEO, and understands the pressures from every seat at the table.
